Homemade Cranberry Orange Sauce
Note: This recipe is simple to make, a hit at any holiday party, and super healthy! Very kid
friendly as well! If you don’t have honey you can use maple syrup as the sweetener or you
can use a ½-1 Cup of sugar. I also did not have nutmeg separate so I used a Pumpkin pie
spice that I had and turned out amazing!
Ingredients
2 (12oz) packages fresh cranberries
1 Cup of Freshly squeezed Orange Juice
1 Cup of honey (light colored if you have it)
½ teaspoon of ground nutmeg
½ teaspoon of ground cinnamon
1 tbsp of unflavored gelatin packet
½ cup of water
Prep Time:   Cook Time:   Total Time
5 minutes         25 Minutes     30 minutes

Directions
In a small sprinkle the gelatin over the water and set aside to bloom.
Next mix the cranberries, orange juice, honey, nutmeg, and cinnamon in a saucepan over
medium-high heat. Bring the sauce to a boil, then reduce the heat to medium and simmer
until the berries begin to pop open. This step took me roughly 20 minutes or so.
Once most of the berries have popped open pour in the bloomed gelatin and whisk until
dissolved.
Remove from the heat and place in a bowl. Cool to room temperature and then cover and
refrigerate for 4 hours or until thickened. Serve cold!
