Turkish Spiced Chicken Souvlaki & Sweet Potato
3 pieces of chicken thigh – cut into strips
½ olive oil
2 cloves of garlic – minced
1 tablespoon Mediterranean sea salt
1 tablespoon Ground pepper
½ stick butter 2 large sweet potatoes
½ cup cumin seeds
3 teaspoons pink peppercorn
1 cup fresh cilantro
3 teaspoons sumac
4 teaspoons cayenne pepper
¼ cup sesame seeds
1 cup chopped cilantro
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 35 minutes
Time Total Time: 50 minutes
Pre-heat oven to 450
Cut potatoes into small slices and place on large baking tray
Marinade potato slices with olive oil, salt, & pepper and bake for 25 minutes (be sure to flip potato slices over at halfway point)
In food processor – mix all ingredients from Turkish spice blend – then set aside
Marinade chicken with olive oil and Turkish spice blend from above stop In a large pan – add butter, shallots, garlic and cook on medium heat for one minute.
Add marinated chicken and cook until chicken is cooked completely.
