Slow Cook Protein & Veggie Stew
Ingredients
1 pound of ground turkey
1 pork sausage – chopped into smaller pieces
1 cup of bone broth protein (used as a thickening agent) 1 cup of chopped rosemary
1 tablespoon of thyme
1⁄2 cup of cilantro
1 tablespoon of cayenne pepper
2 cloves of chopped garlic
1 chopped onion
2 carrots – chopped
1 celery – chopped
Himalayan sea salt (to taste)
1 cup of Mozzarella cheese
1/2 stick of butter
1 stalk of green onions – chopped
1 cup gluten free pasta (we used elbow pasta)
1⁄2 cup rice
3 cups soup broth

Directions
Using a small slice of butter – lightly season protein with cayenne pepper and salt.
sauté ground turkey and pork sausage pieces until they are cooked approximately 50%.
Set crockpot to low cook and add soup broth, bone broth protein, and partially cooked protein.
Add 3 cups of water to crock pot,
In a pan – lightly sauté garlic, green onions, onions, rosemary with butter for five minutes – then add to crockpot
Add carrots, celery, chili powder, cilantro, and thyme to crockpot.
Season to taste
Garnish – shredded with fresh grated mozzarella to each portion of stew
Tips:
This is a slow cook stew with layered tastes. Lightly cooking the meat and veggies will help layer the flavor.
