Warning – these take a long time to prep – but they are DELICIOUS!
Ingredients
1 pound of ground turkey meat
1 cup of chopped thyme
1 cups of grated parmesean cheese
1 cloves of chopped garlic
1 large egg
1 cup cooked Fonio (use recipe from July 2)
2 sticks of unsalted pure butter
Himalayan sea salt (to taste)
Prep Time- 35 Minutes
Cook Time- 15-20 Minutes
Total Time- 60-75 Minutes
Directions
In mixing bowl – mix ground meat, sea salt to taste, eggs, Fonio, and chopped thyme. Mix thoroughly and set aside
To create mini meatballs – use ground meat mixture and add a pinch of mozzarella cheese – create a mini meatball
(about the size of a quarter)
Once you use all the ground meat, begin to cook the meatballs
Use butter and sea salt to warm the pan
Add meatballs to pan and cook
Be sure to turn the meatballs to allow for meat to cook evenly
Add slices of butter to pan to allow meatballs to soak in favor
When meatballs are almost cooked, slowly chopped garlic to pan
Allow meatballs and garlic to cook
Add additional sea salt as needed
Tips:
You can eat these alone as a snack or with your favorite pasta dish
